Learn more about Music Workshop!

Music education can be transformative – but for too many students, it’s simply out of reach. Budget cuts, staffing shortages, and limited resources mean millions of children never get the chance to learn an instrument, sing in a choir, or explore the joy of making music. Music Workshop exists to change that.

We provide free, standards-aligned, culturally responsive music curriculum and professional development to K-12 teachers around the world. Whether a school has a dedicated music specialist or a classroom teacher wearing a dozen hats, we make it possible to bring real, meaningful music instruction to every student – no budget required.

Today, our programs reach millions of students in all 50 states and more than 120 countries. We recently celebrated a major milestone: 20,000 schools now use Music Workshop to teach music. Behind that number are classrooms full of kids discovering rhythm for the first time, teachers gaining confidence to lead a lesson they never thought they could teach, and communities where music is no longer a privilege but a given.

We believe every child deserves access to music, regardless of where they live or what resources their school has. That belief drives everything we build – from our Core Lessons and Mini Lessons to programs like Ida’s Musical Adventures and Coty’s Classroom, all designed to be accessible, engaging, and easy for any teacher to use.

Watch the video below to see this mission in action, and to hear directly from the teachers and students whose classrooms have been transformed by music.

This is why we do what we do – and with your support, we’re just getting started.
