Music Is for Everyone: Our 2025–26 Annual Report Is Here

Every year, we set out to do one thing: help teachers bring the power of music into their classrooms, completely free. Our 2025–26 Annual Report shows what that looks like when a community believes in it.

This year, Music Workshop reached more than 8 million students in over 20,000 schools across 122 countries. Sixty-five percent of the U.S. schools using our curriculum are Title I, and our user base grew by 121%. Close to home, we now serve 880+ Oregon schools and more than 360,000 students in 33 of the state’s 36 counties.

Teachers are behind every one of these numbers. We received over 7,800 feedback forms this year, and each one was read. Their responses shaped what we built: a new Culture Series on Music from West Asia, K–2 versions of our Native American Traditional Music and Pop Music lessons, new ICAN Listen episodes, Ida’s Musical Adventures in Paris, seven new Mini Lessons, and a brand-new Classroom Management course for professional development. And 98.8% of educators told us their students were engaged.

Our community also made this year’s Inspire BASh our most successful fundraiser ever, raising more than $130,000 to keep every lesson free.

Next year, we’re building something new. Music in Life is a five-lesson series exploring how music shapes the brain, emotions, body, and human connection. It grows out of our founder Amy Richter’s own story of discovering music as a tool for learning long before she had words for it. With your support, we aim to reach 3,000 more schools and 1.2 million more students in 2026–27.

A team of four did all of this with the help of teachers, advisors, foundations, and donors like you. Thank you.
